Valedictory Function of Platinum Jubilee of Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi
Valedictory Function of Platinum Jubilee of Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi was held on 25th Nov. 2010 at the Nehru Centre Auditorium, Worli, Mumbai, on that occasion Babasaheb Purandare composed ‘Shivkalyan Raja’ was presented accompanied by songs sung by Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Radha Mangeshkar and other artists.
The occasion was coincided with the felicitation of world acclaimed singer Bharatratna Lata Mangeshkar at the hands of Shri Babasaheb Purandare with a prize money of Rs. 281000/- and a memento. Momentum proceeded with the celebration of Platinum Jubilee year of great educationist, pioneer of management education and international teacher Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi who was conferred upon with ‘Sri VIdya Saraswati’ award at the hands of Hon. Lata Mangeshkar with a prize money of Rs. 150000/- and a memento. Other dignitaries Usha Mangeshkar, Pt. Hridayanath Mangeshkar, Meena Khadilkar, Babasaheb Purandare, Mr. & Mrs. Adinath Mangeshkar and Pt. Pandharinath Kolhapure were also felicitated on the occasion. The other guests; Dr. Vijay Bhatkar; Director, ETH, Pune, Dr. Arun Nigvekar; Chairman of Science & Technology Park, Pune, and Prin. S. B. Pandit; Chairman, Gokhale Education Society, Nasik blessed the occasion.
On this occasion, ‘Amritvardhini’ a souvenir of reviewing the 2 decade journey of Dept. of Music, SMRK BK AK, Nasik and ‘Tojonidhi’ and ‘Swayamprakash’ were published.
Sir Dr. M.S. Gosavi blessed with his stupendous words in the honor of Bharatratna Lata Mangeshkar and enlightened the gathering. Shri. Ramraje Nimbalkar, Babasaheb Purandare, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, Dr. Arun Nigvekar, Prin. S. B. Pandit and Pt. Pandharinath Kolhapure graced the moment.
Earlier introduction to the function was given by the Coordinator of the Function Committee Dr. D. P. Deshpande and vote of thanks by the Executive President of the Committee Dr. R. G. Prabhune.
The function witnessed its fruition by the painstaking efforts of the Sir Dr. M. S. Gosavi Platinum Jubilee Function Committee.
